How Rekoope collects, uses, and protects your information.
Last updated July 2, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Rekoope ("Rekoope," "we," "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our website and services (the "Service"). Rekoope is an AI agent that places phone calls on your behalf — to lower bills, cancel subscriptions, and recover charges — and, if you choose to link a bank or card account, monitors your recurring bills so it can suggest those calls before you have to ask. By using the Service you agree to this Policy.
Information we collect
- Account information: your name, email, and authentication details when you create an account.
- Task information: details you provide so your agent can act for you, which may include the company to call, account numbers, billing details, and the goal of the call.
- Call content: recordings, transcripts, and outcomes of calls your agent places on your behalf.
- Documents you upload: bills, statements, and similar documents you provide so we can find savings opportunities or give your agent context for a call.
- Bank transaction data via Plaid: if you choose to link a bank or card account, we receive transaction and recurring-bill data about that account through Plaid, as described in the next section. Linking is always optional.
- Payment information: processed by our payment provider (Stripe). We do not store full card numbers; we keep only billing identifiers needed to manage your subscription.
- Usage and device data: log data, approximate location from IP, and product analytics, subject to your cookie choices.
How we use Plaid to connect your bank
We use Plaid to connect your bank or card account. When you link an account, you enter your credentials directly with Plaid — we never see, receive, or store your bank username or password. Plaid gives us a secure, revocable connection to read transaction data for the accounts you approve, and nothing else. You can read how Plaid handles your data in the Plaid End User Privacy Policy. By linking an account, you grant Rekoope and Plaid the right to access data from your financial institution as described there and here.
We read transactions; we keep only summaries. When we scan a linked account, we read your transaction history to derive summaries of your recurring bills and subscriptions — for example, "Netflix, $15.49/month, charged on the 12th" — and to spot changes worth acting on, like a price increase, a new subscription, or an expiring promotional rate. We do not store your raw transaction list. After each scan, only the derived results are kept: the list of services we're watching, the changes we detected, and the savings opportunities we suggest to you.
How we use information
- To provide the Service, including placing and summarizing calls you authorize.
- To find savings for you: analyzing your bills, documents, and (if linked) bank-derived summaries to identify subscriptions to cancel, bills to negotiate, and charges to dispute.
- To monitor your recurring bills, if you link an account, and alert you when a price goes up, a new charge appears, or a promotional rate expires. We suggest actions; we never place a call without your approval.
- To process payments, prevent abuse, and provide support.
- To improve the Service and, with your consent, send product updates and offers.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
Calls, recording, and AI processing
Calls are placed on your behalf by an automated AI agent and may be recorded where permitted by law. By using the Service you consent to this. See our AI & Recording Policy for details, including how we handle all-party-consent states.
Parts of the Service are powered by AI. Call audio and transcripts, documents you upload, and bank-derived bill summaries may be processed by the AI providers listed below — for example, to transcribe a call, hold the conversation, read a statement, or classify a recurring charge. These providers process data on our behalf under contract and do not use your data to train their publicly available models.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run the Service, under contract and only as needed, including: bank connections (Plaid), voice/telephony (Vapi and its carriers), AI model and speech providers (Anthropic, Deepgram, and, where enabled, ElevenLabs), infrastructure and database (Supabase, Vercel), payments (Stripe), email (Resend), and analytics/error monitoring (PostHog, Sentry). We may also disclose information to comply with law or protect rights and safety.
Data retention and deletion
We keep account and task information for as long as your account is active. Call recordings are retained for up to 90 days and then deleted, unless a longer period is required to resolve a dispute, comply with law, or enforce our agreements.
Unlinking a bank account deletes the data that came from it. If you disconnect a linked account, we revoke our access with Plaid and delete the bill summaries and change history derived from that account. Because we never store your raw transactions, there is no transaction history to delete — it was never kept.
If you delete your account, we delete your personal information, including task details, uploaded documents, and any bank-derived data, except where we are required to retain it by law. You may also request earlier deletion of specific data as described below.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live (for example, under the California Consumer Privacy Act), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, and to opt out of certain processing. We do not sell personal information. You can unlink a bank account at any time from the Connections page. To exercise any other right, email support@rekoope.com. We will verify and respond within the time required by applicable law.
Security
We use encryption in transit and at rest, tenant isolation, and access controls. Bank connection credentials issued by Plaid are stored encrypted and are accessible only to our server-side systems — never to your browser or other users. See our Security page. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.
Children
The Service is for adults 18 and older and is not directed to children.
Where we operate
The Service is offered in the United States only at launch.
Changes
We may update this Policy. We will post the new version here and update the date above. Material changes will be communicated where required.
